Thanks for the advice. I made a grocery run and bought pickling salt. They turned out very pretty. Can't wait to taste them around Thanksgiving.

Right, Goddess. Regular salt or iodized salt will also make pickles somewhat soft.

regular table salt used for canning cause's the liquid to become cloudy...and the peppers dark in color.

Can you use regular salt to pickle peppers? I don't have pickling salt or canning salt and I need to get this done. What will happen if I do use regular salt?
