It's just sad how people can get on here and talk bad about this mother. Yea the paper does say she has been charged but I do know for sure she has not been charged with anything. This mother is in a lot of pain and heart break without everybody talking ****. If y'all think about it she has a young sister that is seeing and hearing this **** said. So get a **** life and stop talking **** about her. She would not ever put her kids in danger. Any and everybody who knows her knows she loves her kids more then anything in the world and she give anything to change places with her daughter. So have some respect for her and her family and friends. It was accident and it could have been anybody and anybody's kid. And I'm pretty **** sure she knows the consequences of drive while impaired. So I say let this go and let this family grieve in peace. R.I.P Beautiful Angel!!!!!Lord watch and be with this family and friends.

Avee Deanute McCurdy, 10, of Fairplains Road, North Wilkesboro, died of at the scene from internal injuries, Anderson said. She was a passenger in the right front seat of a 2003 Chevrolet sport/utility vehicle driven by her mother, Deaon Shawnta McCurdy, 29, also of Fairplains Road, North Wilkesboro.
Ms. McCurdy was traveling south when she went off on the left and then off on the right, striking a telephone box and a guardrail, Anderson said.
The guardrail was torn away by the impact and penetrated the front of the car, hitting the child, the trooper said.
Deaon McCurdy has been charged with driving while impaired in the wreck, which happened around 6:30 p.m., Anderson said.

i knew them. they invited my little cousin to their birthday party not long ago.. lived 2 houses down, they didnt live there long though. The little girls always walked there dog up the st, passing my house... Sad to hear this.. Rip && God bless the family...

yes, we heard this call get dispatched over the scanner yesterday evening; Princess: I agree: How anyone could drink & then drive without regard to consequences, I'll never understand, either; BTW, did you see the pic of the car in today's JP?

So sorry for this family.. Her choice to drive while impaired cost her, her daughters life. Losing a child is hard enough but the guilt she will always carry we will never understand.

So sorry for the family & for venting my petty issues when this is so much more important, I'd rather have my children alive & healthy than any amount of money, prayers & condolences to the family.

I'm thinking it was the same accident someone else posted about a wreck on Hwy 115, a day or two ago.
Regardless, it certainly is a sad time for that family and my sincere condolences to them.

10-Year-Old Girls Dies In Wilkes Car Accident
MONDAY, DECEMBER 3, 2012 AT 11:45AM A 10-year-old girl was killed in a one-car traffic accident about 6:30 Friday evening in Wilkes. The girl and her younger sister were in a Chevy SUV driven by their mother, Deaon McCurdy age 29 of North Wilkesboro. According to the Highway Patrol accident report, McCurdy was traveling south on Hwy 115 when her vehicle crossed the centerline and ran off the left side of the road. She over corrected and the SUV then crossed the highway again and ran off the right side of the road hitting a telephone box and the guardrail. The 10-year-old was in the right front passenger seat and died at the scene from her injuries. Her 9-year-old sister and mother were transported to WRMC with non-life-threatening injuries. No charges have been filed at this time. Trooper CM Anderson is still investigating the wreck. This may already be on here, but I didn't see anything. Losing a child is the worst nightmare a parent can have, and my heart goes out to the mother.
