That would be hard to say. First I don't know who owns that property. Until this happened most business people thought Neil was just a good o boy business man. So, someone could have rented this spot to him not knowing what was going on. Then again, this is Wilkes county.

Would I be wrong if I said the owner of the property where this bust took place was involved?

I am guessing but this maybe the reason for this raid. This mess started out as a small time gang of good o boys and has grown into an east coast thing. They are now cutting into the big dogs profits. More like hellhounds then big dogs. Serious people are paying attention to Wilkes now. See what meth can do?

If Dane Mastin was involved in anything it comes out of Washington, DC. Congress even backed off them.

I tryed for years to tell you what was going on. Now you are begaining to see maybe I wasn't just a crazy old guy. Now maybe you begain to see I know what I am talking about. The bad part is just how little you actually know now and I can't tell you. I can only hint at what is going on.

I've been thinking about this.
I watch a few TV shows. Weeds, Breaking Bad, Sons of Anarchy, a few others like that. And they all have the same central of theme: business owners and politicians that manufacture and sell drugs, and use their business as a front to launder their money.
Every time I watch these, I always laugh a little about how the story mirrors the local conspiracies we've always had about the police and politicians being our "biggest drug dealers."
But now that it's starting to be proven true, I have to wonder. Just how many towns, all over the nation, have the same drug dealers that are running the towns and businesses?
Just how many businesses that we rely on today were really founded with drug money, and started as nothing more than a front? Could Lowes have really grown from a local hardware store into a national chain without some sort of alternate means of income? Could Walmart have really been built by an old man that owned a Five & Dime store without some sort of alternate means of income?
How many of our jobs relied at some point on drugs, and we didn't even know it?

Things started falling apart for him and his friends about 1997. That is about the time someone got interested in what they were doing. Then it was just a matter of time.

His family and friends have run North Wilkesboro for years and years. Historically you could run any kind of business in North Wilkesboro if you have these people's approval. If you don't, then don't try to open one there. Anyone trying to fight them gets ridiculed or worst.

Most of his influential friends did the "Run Forrest, Run" thing several years ago.
