I do know one honest lawyer but she isn't from Wilkes. She has family here and is talking about moving to Wilkes .She was a federal prosecutor for years and worked with Homeland Security. Just the type we need as DA.

No sucessful lawyer wants to take the pay cut. You know what they call the lawyer that graduates at the bottom of his class. Your Honor,

You can't run for DA in North Carolina without a law degree. That means there might be 30 people in Wilkes who could actually fun for DA. Same for judge. Kinda sux concidering it is imposible to find an honest lawyer.

If 100 people could be ran out of this county, we could lay off about half of our LEOs and court staff. Its the same **** people over and over again.

Who are you? Run for sheriff-you will get my vote! Even better, run for DA-I can guarantee you a dozen votes at least as we type!

My statement is true it is just that no one in power cares. They just want it to be easy and they don't want to have to do much. So, they just let it go. If I was Shreiff I would hang a 2X4 right behind my desk with the name printed on it "Justice Rules".

Sure the Sheriff does. The Sheriff can go after anyone he/she determines or believes is a criminal. No one is above the law.

Sorry to disagree on this one, Sameo, but it's not an accurate statement. It SHOULD be. I WISH it was, but it's not. If it was, those names would've been posted the same as everyone else who gets busted. Also, the DA can do whatever he wants. The SBI collects info, or somebody walks in and makes a statement to the DA, he's the one who determines if charges are brought and arrests are made, then hands that off to the appropriate agency for the grunt work. The DA's only higher power is the Attorney General. SHOULD also be juries, but most are not aware of that, so it goes on unchecked, and what they say about power is true...absolute power corrupts absolutely

One of the guys who has been mentioned did take a 14 year old female home with him where his adult son give her drugs for sex and the town had to pay out a large settlement to the young female over this. The same one who worked at DSS for years taking other people kids and letting someone else raise them.

It maybe the connection with one of these people and the DSS. Whose children did they take over the years and who got to raise them? Who checks the checkers?
