So let me see the logic here. Powell a republican backs Obama it must be because of race.
So lets say Jon Huntsman had won the GOP nomination. I would be supporting him over Obama. Am I somehow racist because you know I am white and Huntsman is to that must be it right?
Simply put there is no logic in concluding Powell supports Obama because of race.
His motivation is a valid point. I like Powell. I think he should have ran. What makes it seem motivated by race is the fact that he as a republican supported Obama as a democrat during the last election too. The race issue probably wouldn't be questioned had he waited until he could see how Obama actually was as president and come out in support of him now.
Was just taken aback by John McCain's response on General Colin Powell's endorsement of B H Obama.....its sad that someone in McCain's position would cast a sad comment on this man's integrity.... Gen. Powell is a man who thinks thing though before making a statement.....I am really disappointed in Sen. John McCain.....as for John Suunuu....he is a pimple on the butt of clear thinking people.....showed his RACIST attitude with his statement that Gen Powell would endorse President Obama mainly due to his Color, Race, or whatever....John Suunuu then attempted to back track later...as I said before Gen Powell in a thinker and looks at all the options before making an endorsement.....he is like it or not a Straight Shooter....and both of these men need to take a long time to look at what is said by this Man.....but I forget Colin Powell is a Friend of Suunuu....winking as he says that....
John Sununu's response on Piers Morgan Tonight was interesting.
Sununu: Well, I'm not sure how important that is. I do like the fact that Colin Powell's boss, George Herbert Walker Bush, has endorsed Mitt Romney all along. And frankly, when you take a look at Colin Powell, you have to wonder whether that's an endorsement based on issues or whether he's got a slightly different reason for preferring President Obama.
Morgan: What reason would that be?
Sununu: Well, I think when you have somebody of your own race that you're proud of being president of the United States, I applaud Colin for standing with him.
This isn't the first time Powell has been accused of an endorsement based on race. In 2008, Rush Limbaugh, among others, insinuated that Powell's endorsement of Obama was motivated by skin color.
It was the race card when he was placed into a position of military power and the democrats and blacks scorned him for it. it was his weakness and desire to have his family left alone that caused the endorsement. Your believe what you want but the outcome is clear.
