Hurricane Sandy and Snow Chance Discussion

EWHS2012

It is climatology not favorable to do so. Then again, nothing is climo like with Hurricane Sandy taking a track like the NHC is forecasting.

Won't be long of a drive to take if snow does not occur here though. Goodbye 70-80 degree weather.

Boone might be worth the drive if we get screwed over! I think West Virginia may be impossible to travel to.

Saturday looks okay. Things have the chance to go down hill by Monday night. Then again, it determines on the final track Sandy takes so it could change.

This is probably a once in the lifetime type of event if it occurs. The uncertainty is high with snow, but the certainty for the East Coast getting slammed by Sandy is now high. Mountain chance of snow is medium now. West Virginia has been in the jackpot zone for days now.

A good amount of time has passed, and it now appears Sandy will slam the East Coast.

Below, is the latest EURO model map showing total snowfall.

BEWARE, not for the faint of heart! This is NOT a forecast, this is a model output.

Cold air is certain. Moisture is questionable with the track. Mountains stand the best chance of snow of course at this point.

Let the discussion begin.
