Treat a Opiate addiction with another Opiate with different name? Sounds like dis fo dat to me.. Yet, addicts need help, not sure this is the way to go about it??

Bobster, I heard it is harder to get off the methadone than getting off heroin . I have not seen anyone get completely off by using methadone. Lots of people going, its a way of life.

It caused me a Leroy to stop. We went in one time trying to get this medication to pay the power bill. They told us to get the fk out or they would call the law.

We haven't messed with the stuff since.

My friend used to work at one. here is what she said.

I don't have any personal experience with methadone treatment, but it is being used and apparently to some success because it reduces the side effects of another opoid without the high. I understand there is a problem; one must then get off methadone, but it's easier to get off it than some other narcotic like heroine or morphine.

Please, anyone, give details of successful treatment through the use of a methadone clinic. Meaning, someone went to be weaned off of some form of legal/illegal drug and were able to completely put it down after receiving their fix from the clinic.
