Hearing cars sliding now on streets in North Wilkesboro Stay home people - it's not worth it

Roads are so bad, emergency personel are having to walk instead of driving. People stay home.

My husband is stuck in traffic on 16 due to the truck at the lumber co.

I am from a place where it snows a lot all winter and laugh at some of the people who have never seen a snowflake

Opened the front door this morning and...whoa! Ice all over everything. I live in N. Wilkesboro. Won't even walk out on my deck.

My mom still aint seen the cops and it has been over an hr. since her first wreck her and the guy that hit her in the second wreck are both sitting in vehicles so they don't broke anything.

tractor trailer has road blocked in front of lumber co. on hwy 16.

roads are so bad that first responders are not going wrecks where there are no injuries. they just can't get there. sheriff's deputies are leaving their cars & walking because they can't move. I know someone who is sitting on the side of the road now because they are so slick they just can't move.

I'd say it is a good morning to stay home.

Streets in uptown North Wilkesboro look slick out my windows but cars are traveling fine it seems - please, everyone be careful out there this morning if you have to go out

Every please pray for my husband. Hes a truck driver hes in mt.airy right now he want be home untill tomorrow i just talk to him he said roads are real bad . I beged him to come home we need the money but not that bad . Truck driving is so dangruse . I pray to god he makes it home safe and that every one thats having to drive in this mess is safe .

The best thing is to stay home unless you MUST go to work or on an emergency call.
