I played in a band back in the 80's during the hayday of the round up. I've heard all the stories, and seen alot of interesting things that could fill up a book about the Round Up. But looking back, I can honestly say we had the best times playing there. The crowds were great, and Wayne made sure no one got out of hand. He made it a point that no tipsy person EVER messed with the band or our crew.We respected that, and we always packed the house when we played. It was a good "paying your dues" type place for a band to start out at, and I'd like to go back just once for old times sake!

Drunk driving is such a problem, this would be a good way for someone in Wilkes to make some money. START A DECENT TAXI SERVICE!!!!

Wilkessky I may be totally wrong but if my memory is correct many years ago Albert Brown owned the Round Up. His wife was Vea Brown so maybe that is why her name is on the thingy. This was back in the 80's though and I remember school friends talking about one of our classmates dads running it.

Sad thing is that it is usually some innocent family that gets hit head on by a bunch of drunks trying to find their way back home after a night of hog hunting. I wouldnt care how much they or drink or where they drink if they would wallow there till they get sober. But thats not the case.

I would understand more coming from a 3rd grader than way you talk. I was simply saying that people dont need to bash a business, people work hard to survive in this tough economy and shouldnt have to worry about someone bashing them. If you dont like the place or the idea of it dont go...
